How do I use the Calendar of Events page?

If you have events coming up that you would like your customers to know about, then Calendar of Events is a great feature, providing your customers with information on up and coming events you are running or attending!

 

How do I add Calendar Of Events to my site?

When you register with Create and first log in to your account, you will have the option to select whether you would like to have Calendar of Events as a web page on your website.

If you do not select it at this stage, and want to do so later, then please follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your Create account.
  2. Click on ''Content'' on the Top Menu.
  3. Click on ''Add New Page''.
  4. Select ''Calendar Of Events''.
  5. Click ''Add New Page''.

Your Calendar Of Events page will now appear listed on your ''Content'' screen.

 

How does it works?

When you have an upcoming event that you'd like to add, please follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your Create account.
  2. Click ''Content'' on the Top Menu.
  3. Click the ''Edit'' Icon represented by a pencil on Calendar of Events.
  4. Click ''Add New Event''.
  5. Click in ''Event Title'' and chose an Event Title.
  6. Select the Date and Time of the event.
  7. Click inside the Edit box and customise your Event Page as you see fit.
  8. Click ''Add Calendar Events''.

 In order for your new event to be displayed on your live website you will need to publish your website changes by following the steps below:

  1. Click the ''Publish'' icon located in the middle of the Top Menu
  2. Click ''Publish To Web''

Your event will now be added to your Calendar Of Events page!


How do I remove past events from my Calendar of Events on my website?

Out of date events are removed automatically when you publish your website. To do this please following the steps below:

  1. Click the ''Publish'' icon located in the middle of the Top Menu
  2. Click ''Publish To Web''
  

How do I have my Calendar of Events on my Homepage?

To add your Calendar of Events to your homepage please follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your Create account.
  2. Click ''Design'' from the Top Menu.
  3. Click ''Side Columns'' on the ''Design Menu''.
  4. Click ''New Side Column Item''.
  5. In the ''Type'' Box select ''Forthcoming Events''.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Enter an Event Title.
  8. Click Events Page and Select ''Events''.
  9. Select how many events you wish to show from the drop-down list.
  10. Select a location for your Events Side Column.
  11. Click ''Add Side Column''.

Your Calendar Of Events will now be added to the Side Menu on your Homepage.

 

This is what it may look like in your Side Menu:

In order for your changes to take effect, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click the ''Publish'' icon located in the middle of the Top Menu
  2. Click ''Publish To Web''
