How To Place A Test Order With Create Payments

If you wish to process a test order through your site using the Create Payments gateway, you will first need to sign up to Create Payments, and once applied you can simply follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click "Shop" from the Top Menu 
  3. Select "Shop Settings" from the left-hand menu and then select "Payment Gateways 
  4. Next to the "Create Payments" option, select "View Dashboard"
  5. In the top right-hand corner of this new page, toggle the slider from "LIVE" to "TEST"
  6. Click Save Changes.

You are now ready to place a test order through your site.

Please note while your Create Payments gateway is in "Test Mode", you will not be able to see this gateway on your live site. To perform a test on the gateway please place an order through your website when in "Preview".

To "Preview" your website please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Create account
  2. Select "Publish" from your Top Menu
  3. Select "Preview Your Site" from this page

You can then use the following card numbers to test transactions in the test environment. When using test cards, you can specify an expiry date up to seven years in the future. You can use 123 as the card verification code and they don't have an issue number.

Once you have placed a test order in "Preview", you will see this transaction within the Create Payments Dashboard. This will appear with the words "TEST" so you are able to differentiate. When you are happy the gateway is working please then toggle the switch back to "LIVE" to start receiving payments through this gateway.
