How do I link to a page from my site footer?

Displaying your pages within your Site Footer is a great way to free up space on your Main Menu for more important pages while still ensuring your website is informative. For example, if you have your Shop Categories within your Main Menu you may not have space for all of your other pages. However pages such as your “Terms and Conditions”, “Cookies” and “Privacy Policy” are vital to your website. Therefore we would suggest linking to these explanatory pages from your Site Footer, to ensure they are still accessible for each visiting customer.

How do I link to a page from my site footer?

Firstly, to set this up you will need to add your page to your site. To do this please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to your "Content" screen on the Top Menu.
  2. Click on the green "Add Page" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Select the "Content Page" type.
  4. Add the page details.
  5. Click "Save changes"
  6. You can now edit the page and add your content.

Once your page is added you will then need to hide the page you wish to link to from your Main Menu by following these steps:

  1. Go to your "Content" screen on the Top Menu.
  2. Click "Page Options" next to the page you wish to hide.
  3. Change "Shown on Menu" to "NO"
  4. Save your changes

Lastly, once you have hidden your page you will then need to follow these instructions:

  1. Go to your “Content” screen on the Top Menu.
  2. Click “Edit Site Footer” from the left-hand menu.
  3. Write the text you wish to link to your page, for example “Delivery”.
  4. Highlight the text and click on the 'Chain' icon in the editor to create the link.
  5. Save your changes.
  6. Republish your website to ensure these changes go live.
