In order to sell Digital Products in your Create shop, you will need Account Credit. When you sign up to Create and start using the Digital Products feature, you will be given 100 Credits, free of charge.
You can keep track of how many credits you are spending via the Digital Products page in your account. To do so, please follow the steps below:
You should then see the following screen where you can clearly see the number of products available in your account and also the number of credits you have spent.
If you wish to purchase more credit, you can do so via the "Running out of credit? Buy more here" link. Credits cost 1p each and are debited each time one of your Digital Products are purchased. The amount of Credits used for each sale will depend on the size of the file that you have sold.
You can also add Credits to your account by following the instructions below:
If you would like your Credit balance to be topped up automatically, make sure you click the "Auto Top-Up" button. You will then need to set the limit for that your balance will fall below before it is topped up, and the amount of Credits it will be topped up by.
The "minimum 5p per download..." means that this is the minimum amount of Credits you will be charged to sell your downloadable products, however this amount can vary depending on the size of the file you sell. Below is an example table for the amount of credits needed:
1 MB = 5 credits
2 MB = 5 credits
2.5 MB = 5 credits
3 MB = 6 credits
3.5 MB = 7 credits
4 MB = 8 credits
4.5 MB = 9 credits
5 MB = 10 credits
5.5 MB = 11 credits
6 MB = 12 credits
6.5 MB = 13 credits
7 MB = 14 credits
8 MB = 16 credits
