How to add the Pinterest meta-tag to disallow images to be shared

If you do not wish Pinterest to pin your images then you can place a small piece of code in the custom head area of your site that will prevent them doing so.

The code you will need to use is as follows:

<meta name = "pinterest" content = "nopin" description = "Sorry, this user does not allow pinning" />

For the code to function, you will need to place it in the "Custom <HEAD>" area of each of your pages that you do not wish Pinterest to pin your images from.

To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Create account and
  2. Click on "Content" On the top menu.
  3. Select the "Options" icon next to one of the pages you wish to disallow images from.
  4. Click the "META Info" tab running along the top of the new window.
  5. Paste the code into the "Custom <HEAD>" field and click "Save Changes"
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 for all the pages you want to restrict and then publish your site via the "Publish" screen.
