Did you know that 80% of visitors know how to recognise the signs of a secure website, and they're more likely to trust sites with secure indicators? Take advantage of our new SSL upgrade and fully encrypt your entire website to build up your customer trust, boost conversions - and it’s good for your SEO! Read on to learn why SSL is essential for website security and how you can get it today.
What is SSL?
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is a standard security feature that helps to assert your website's security. This promotes your website as 'safe' and is an integral part of re-assuring your customers that your site is trustworthy.
Most web browsers display a green padlock in the address bar, but you'll see that the web address will start with https://, instead of http://, when websites are securely encrypted.
Why should I use SSL?
Increasing your visitors' confidence on your site will not only improve your business' reputation, but it will also help to convert visits into sales. According to Global Sign, 90% of users are more likely to trust a website with security indicators, will be more inclined to leave their details and make a purchase knowing it's safe.
In addition to this, with Google maintaining a strong focus on website security they are now considering SSL encrypted websites as part of their ranking - so it’s definitely worth adding the edge to your SEO!
