The Wedding Industry Awards

The Wedding Industry Awards are for UK businesses and are some of the most respected awards in the country.

To enter these awards you will first need to create an account with them. There is then a £50 entry fee for these awards and all you need to do is fill in your Company Profile to get started. Following this you can start promoting your profile and asking your clients and friends to vote for you.

One Create member who was nominated for a Wedding Industry Award is Andrea Riby of ...And All Things Nice.

Andrea Riby“We entered the Wedding Industry Awards both last year and this year and were delighted to be shortlisted from all of the entrants for the region.

"We found that although we didn't win the overall award we still received the benefit of reiterating to our customers the professionalism of the company and also from the coverage received due to appearing on the Wedding Industry Awards website.

"By entering the awards you receive a web link while the voting process is ongoing and also, if you're shortlisted, this period is extended and your details become more prominent.

It's important to build relationships with customers which encourage them to take a few moments out of their busy lives to vote for you following their wedding, as this is the process for being shortlisted. Aside from this you receive these reviews which are always lovely to read and feel like awards in themselves!"

Finding More Wedding Awards

Although these are three very prominent awards, there are many more up for grabs. How do you find out about other opportunities? One of the best ways is to watch your industry peers on social media; follow them on Twitter, 'like' their Facebook page and follow their Pinterest Board. This way you'll be able to find out about awards they've won and that you could enter too!

Be sure to sign up to industry and wedding website newsletters (and the companies running the awards, too). Subscribe to wedding magazines like Wedding Ideas, who regularly hold award prizes. This will definitely keep you in the know about any awards you may be suitable for.

Lastly, look out for any other awards that have a specific 'Weddings' category, for example The National Vintage Awards. These awards are just as important in getting your website noticed by new customers!
