With our first ever Create Event, a gorgeous/torrential bank holiday and the arrival of a new team member August has been a busy month for the Customer Services Team. Unfortunately we haven't had the sunny summer we were hoping for but it has still been a great month.

From setting up the venue to putting out the food, the Customer Services Team was involved in all aspects of August's Create Event, which was an experience we all enjoyed. With our amazing people skills put to use, we were treated to an interesting talk from Curtis James and Emily Stanley of Stanley James Press, who gave us to an insight into the world of collections, even bringing a few of their own gadgets along so we could try them out!

August also brought us a bank holiday and two birthdays in the Create office, with cake all round! Although it was yet another rainy day we were able to spend some time with our families and, for the lucky two, receive some presents!

Meanwhile, in Bali, our overseas Customer Account Manager Lindsay has been longing for the delicacies of the West. Who would have thought the things she'd miss most would be a Twix and a good cup of tea? So we thought we'd send her a cheeky reminder of what she's missing at Create HQ!

Last but certainly not least, this new month brought a new member of the Create team, in the form of Technical Support Administrator Martyn (seen above being Mr Toad at Beaulieu National Motor Museum).

It's great to introduce another member to the Create family, and to have someone new come in to join the Customer Services Team. Plus he's always on hand to help with technical queries, which is very handy :)

We also welcomed Andy for a 3-month design internship and he has already made a big impact on the Create team. Seen above at the Create event, he has been busy branding our office with the Create logo, from drawing it by hand onto our blackboard to printing t-shirts and badges!

Create Merchandise

The Create merchandise is being made up in preparation for the Mini Maker Faire which we are sponsoring and appearing at on Saturday 8th September. We are all really excited to be part of this event and to have our own Create stand! We are showcasing Create to the public so we can help spread the word and help as many people as we can to start their own online business.

We hope you've all had a great month. Let us know what you've been up to in the comments below!
