We hope you're currently rushed off your feet with the final flurry of Christmas shopping, but the fun is not over yet! It will soon be time for those Boxing Day and January Sales, so now is a good time to start thinking about if you will host a sale on your website.
Did you know that having a sale is a great way to entice customers into your shop... you never know what they might leave with! Customers love to see fresh new ideas for things to buy and if you're limited on space, a sale is a good way to clear out some of your existing stock and make room for the new!
Customers with their Christmas money will be aplently, so get ready to bring them back to your store and entice them to buy with some great bargains and deals!
Our handy new Shop Sale feature means you can start preparing your sale now behind the scenes, this means you can just switch it on when you are ready to launch and your customers will see the new prices instantly.
In addition to this, for our Pro Seller Plus members you can manage up to 3 sales at one time. This means when one sale ends you can be ready to run another sale straight away!
To start preparing your Sale, login to your Create account and then take the following steps:
There are different ways to discount your products, you can choose a fixed amount - i.e. £10 off, a percentage reduction - i.e. 20%, or you can set a fixed new price i.e. was £4.99 now £3.99. You create the rule, and then add the products which you want to apply to that rule. You'll need to make a new rule for each combination of discount type and amount (you can set up as many as you like) and then add the products you want to each one. Don't forget to check out our recent Shop Sale video webinar which gives you a visual guide on how to get set up. |
We hope you enjoy using this new feature, let us know about the sales you are running with it and how you are getting on, using the "Add A Comment" link below :)

Hi Sylvia,
You can add as many products as you'd like to your sale, to do so please follow these steps:
1. Log in to your Create account
2. Click on Shop"on the top menu
3. Click on "Shop Sale" on the left hand menu
4. Click "Add New Sale"
5. Follow the instructions to add your sale information and click "Save & Add Products" to confirm
6. You will now need to set up your "Rules", these "Rules" will then be applied to any products you select. Click "Add Rule" and then follow the instructions to add.
7. Click "Add Rule" to confirm and continue
8. Choose the products you would like to add to the sale using the search field provided by clicking the tick box
8. Click "Add Products"when you have finished
9. Click "Save Changes" if you have finished setting up your sale or click "Add Rule" to add another type of sale.
Your sale is now on hold and you will need to turn it on for it to appear on your live site. To do this click the button next to the rule into the 'ON' position. The green "running" text should appear indicating that your sale is now live.

No, its all normal characters I have for each item. And also, everytime I go in, it brings up different list of my products so it does seem it is the feature.
I will contact the email you suggested, Thanks

Found this Shop Sale feature really easy to use and a good tool. Would like the Sale banner to appear at a higher level in the product search so people are attracted to those sale products. Good work!

Hi Mhairi,
Have you got any unusual characters in any of your product's titles such as a £?
Removing these characters from your products titles should get them to show up when adding them to your sale.
Also, please dont forget to try checking the 'show out of stock' and 'show hidden products' tick boxes next to the box where you add products.
If this doesn't fix this issue for you, please email us at support@create.net or contact your account manager via your "Help & Support" screen in your Account and we will investigate further for you.

Hi Alexandra,
Shop Sale doesn't currently have this function but it is something that will be included in the next update of the feature.
